Trumpeter Swan

The trumpeter swan holds the distinction of being both the largest waterfowl in North America and the largest swan in the world! Its wingspan comes in at an amazing 8 feet! The trumpeter swan is one of the great comeback stories in waterfowl conservation with roughly 16,000 swans making up today’s total population; up from the historic low believed to be around 70 birds in the early 20th century.
